Sustainability at INTIGENA
At INTIGENA, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We take our responsibility seriously and focus on sustainable development that takes equal account of social, ecological and economic aspects.
Our understanding of sustainability goes far beyond minimizing negative influences. We want to actively drive positive changes in society and the environment and have set ourselves ambitious goals to continuously strengthen our commitment. This includes not only making our direct production processes sustainable, but also incorporating the entire value chain. We work closely with our suppliers to ensure that all materials are sourced responsibly and that working conditions along the supply chain meet the highest standards.
Transparency and cooperation – Working together for a sustainable future
We are also committed to transparency. Our customers should be able to understand how our products are manufactured and what measures we take to protect the environment. For us, sustainability is not a one-off project, but an ongoing process of improvement. We invest in innovative technologies and promote internal initiatives that strengthen sustainable thinking and action at all levels of the company.
Another decisive factor is the involvement of our customers. We want to inspire them to join us in making a contribution to a more sustainable world. This starts with providing information on the environmentally friendly use and disposal of our products and extends to initiatives in which our customers can be actively involved. Sustainability does not end at our factory door - it continues with our consumers and partners, and we want to support them as best we can along the way
Social commitment
People are always at the center of everything we do. Our responsibility begins with our employees and extends to our customers, partners and the communities in which we operate. We are committed to respecting labor and human rights and always consider the interests of our employees. Our corporate culture is based on respect, fairness and open dialog on equal footing.
We promote a working environment in which each individual can develop and reach their full potential. This includes training, development opportunities and personal development programs that help our employees expand their skills and advance professionally. Ecology
The careful use of natural resources is essential for us. We are therefore committed to constantly minimizing our consumption of resources and making our production processes as sustainable as possible. Wherever possible, we use renewable raw materials as well as recycled and recyclable materials. Our products are environmentally friendly and free from health-critical ingredients to protect the health of our customers.
In addition, we continuously invest in research and development to further optimize our production processes and make them even more resource-efficient. We work closely with our suppliers to use innovative, environmentally friendly materials and find new ways to minimize our ecological footprint. Our aim is to promote the circular economy and thus make a positive contribution to the environment.
Economic responsibility

FSC certification:
This certification confirms that the pulp used in our production comes from responsibly managed forests. The pulp is traceable from the country of origin of the tree to the end product.
PEFC certification:
The pulp we use comes from sustainably managed forests that meet ecological, economic and social standards.
Amfori Membership:
We are a member of Amfori, an organization that helps companies to operate responsibly and improve social and environmental performance in the supply chain.
EcoVadis:
Using the EcoVadis platform, we carry out annual sustainability assessments to manage ESG risks* and achieve our sustainability goals.
*ESG stands for “Environmental, Social, and Governance”. ESG risks are potential risks arising from these three areas that could have a negative impact on a company's financial performance or reputation. These include, for example, environmental pollution, labor law violations or inadequate corporate governance. At INTIGENA, we identify and manage these risks to ensure that our business activities remain sustainable and responsible.
